Taking the essence of this vibrant culture and bringing it to life online in a user and mobile friendly format that could both market the residence experience and inform on key programs and features was no easy feat. This was my first project at the U of A, and core components of this design are still used over six years later.
In this project, I led the development of U of A's building hours tool, which is linked to the university's backend database for facilities. The page cleanly displays hundreds of buildings across five campuses, alongside all of its critical information such as hours and location, all in a user- and mobile-friendly format.
The upper year students comparison chart, which used Bootstrap CSS code for speech reader text to ensure this information is accessible to users with screen readers.
The residence options webpage, which used shared blocks to display buildings in order to replicate certain cards on pages like the graduate student webpage.
The Facilities and Operations homepage, which was developed through stakeholder consultation that identified which areas required highlighting as well as a web audit and analytics review to determine how information could be packaged under similar topics.
